I became inspired to become a massage therapist for a few reasons. I had recently completed training in Reiki I & II. I was enjoying working on friends, finding the results more and more intriguing. Profound relaxation and groundedness were common. And experiencing the zing of the universal energy flowing into my palms and then into people feels like an electrical current. That is pretty amazing.
I also remember chatting with a stranger at a gathering and upon asking what he did job-wise, was answered with, "I make people feel good for a living." He was a massage therapist! I wanted to be able to say that too.
The wheels started rolling in my head, I had summer money saved from a nanny job with my 3 beloved little friends and school just happened to be starting that October.
I attended Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork in 1999-2000 and have been practicing massage ever since then, continuing to fine tune and add new techniques.
I love working with a wide array of people and love each day I get to come to work!
When I am not in the office, I can be found reading cookbooks for fun and creating tasty dishes. I love to start new garden beds. I love to walk in the woods looking for owls and mushrooms. I hang out with my beautiful adult girls. We make art and body care products and herbal products. And sometimes just watch the wind.
